God has called me to be a leader. He has called others in this church to be leaders as well. He has called all of us to be leaders in at least an informal way. John Maxwell helpfully says that ‘leadership is influence’ and everyone of us has a ‘circle of influence’. What type of influence are we to have? What are the ‘moments’ or ‘dynamics’ in authentic Christian leadership? How can we pray for ourselves and others so that we will have godly influence?

We are not conservatives PDF Print E-mail

We are not conservatives. If you want to be a conservative, you will probably be uncomfortable at St. Alban’s.

I do not mean to offend. Please bear with me as I explain. We are not conservatives, or liberals, or new democrats. We are not ‘right’ or ‘left’ or ‘centrist’. Trusting Jesus PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 06 February 2009 15:57

I have trusted Jesus Christ to reconcile me to God and make me, by adoption, God’s child forever. I rejoice that He has not “weighed my merits” but “pardoned my offences”. As a child of God, I desire to live free and whole in His kingdom, so I seek to follow Jesus as Lord in my day-to-day life. I desire to be shaped by Him. I pray that he will shape us as a church.
