Artizo Internship Program PDF Print E-mail

Since 2002, St Alban's has been a participating church in the Artizo Apprenticeship Program. This is a great initiative based on the Australian Ministry Training Strategy. "Artizo" comes from the Greek word meaning "to equip", and this is in essence the goal of the program. We seek to train up and equip young leaders as they prepare for full-time Christian ministry by allowing them to serve the body of Christ here at St Alban's.

Community Groups PDF Print E-mail

Part of maturing in the life of faith involves walking closely alongside others, sharing times of joy and struggle.  Community groups are a significant way to facilitate our pursuit of this kind of growing community.  Groups meet weekly in homes to share their lives, interact over the sermon texts, and pray with one another.  They are arranged according to neighbourhood, but there are also options available on different nights of the week to fit your schedule.  Groups meet from September through June.  If you'd like more information about the arrangements or are interested in joining, contact David at the church office.

Music 11am Convergent Service

At St. Alban's church, singing in the choir is a ministry. We have been commissioned by Jesus Christ to "Go and preach the word to all nations". By choosing to sing in the choir, members are declaring their willingness to devote talent, voice and time. We strive to offer our best at all times. Several times a year we gather together in "blended" services to encourage each other and to worship together.

The music ministry consists of leading and supporting congregational hymn singing and liturgical responses as well as preparing special choral music. This is indeed an offering and not a performance. The Organ Prelude serves to gather people's thoughts into the presence of God, the Postlude invites us to "go out and serve".
